Life Isn't Freaking FAIR

So today I was mulling over the underlying unfairness of my life.

So at first I was like: I hate myself, I'm an idiot, I'm never going to succeed.

And then I was like, Man, shut the heck up. You had plenty of chances to succeed.

And then I was like, Wow, I'm actually really lucky. Not just because I'm at least decently smart and was born into a middle class family in one of the richest countries in the world, but also because, well, I've never fell off a cliff. Simple things: I've never broken a bone, never had a life threatening illness. A bit more complicated things like the person I do know with a chronic illness is nearly cured. Other things, that I was born into a family following an extremely tolerant religion. That I've never been sucked up by a tornado.

Yeah. That's deep thinking right there.

But see, the point is, there are so many things that we overlook because we're so wrapped up in our own measly lives. So if you're going to come complaining to me that life is unfair, I'm going to ask you if you've ever been trapped in a mudslide.

The End.
