Crushes and Dating (In Middle School)

On the first note.

It's okay, everybody gets one at some point or another.

On the second.

You have better stuff to do.

On the first note.

See, Asian parents like mine have that whole arranged marriage kerfuffle on that side...so they just think that crushing on people is, like, totally unnecessary and a waste of time. And I totally agree. The thing that they don't understand is that... well, there's not really much you can do about it.

So,  yeah, you hide it from your parents because they won't understand and sometimes they find out and it's awkward because HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THIS TO THEM!!!

It's like explaining Fairy Tales to a Wizard.

Hermionie: And he climbed her hair to the castle tower.
Ron: Wait- he just- climbed it? Like- no magic, just a muggle strolling along and just climbs her hair?
Hermionie: Oh for goodness' sakes, Ron!
Ron: I don't get it!

Yeah... I don't get it either, Ron.

Anyway, mostly everybody has a crush on someone by the time they get to high school, and, if they have not, I'm jealous.

On the other hand...

Dating.

GOD DON'T YOU HAVE ANYTHING BETTER TO DO THAN MAKE OUT WITH SOMEONE BEHIND A STAIRCASE!?!?

Okay, yes, I know that that's not what always happens, but... still.

I guess.... that I may have to admit... yes, the kind of relationship where the couple just talks and occasionally holds hands is... well.... tolerable, but...

Seriously?

First of all, if you're in Middle School, you're not emotionally ready to go through the ups and downs of a tumultuous relationship. And then... there are the rumors, the name calling, the, well, yeah.

That's all I got.

Plus, it's annoying for your friends when they can't talk to you because they are going to be the awkward third wheel.

*cough*

God, I hate that. It's sooooo annoying!!!!!

Anyway...

MESSAGE: Please don't date until you're in High School

Toodles!
